NZ Birding Checklist - Full Version
NZ Birding Checklist Full Version is an Android application that provides basic bird identification information. This app is not designed to replace a field guide but to be used as a tool to log bird sightings, upload sightings to eBird, and maintain your lifelist. The full version includes a complete listing of all bird species and subspecies, searching and filtering of the bird list, statistics, and a record of your personal bird lifelist. You can also create quick lists for customized bird listings for locations you frequently visit.
This app also has features such as displaying bird photos and bird calls on the SD card linked to the application, logging facilities including GPS location, and exporting log files in eBird Import format for rapid loading of your sightings to eBird. It also supports large screen 1280 x 800 tablets. The app requires you to manually install photos and sounds via your PC as they are not included in the download package from the Android market.
However, please note that the developer has announced that from Android 11, which will be mandatory in 2H21, they will no longer be able to publish updates or support these applications due to Google's new security requirements. The Birding Checklists will need to be rewritten, and the developer has no plans for a replacement at this time.
